Get ready for a great week-end of mussel tasting, wine sipping and all things mussels.

The fourth annual Indian Point/Mahone Bay Mussel Festival will take place May 22th &23th in Mahone Bay and at the Indian Point Mussel Farm in Indian Point.

In support of the 3rd annual Mussel Festival we will be raffling off a beautiful, locally made glass pendant.  This will be nestled inside a Fran Aldercotte handcrafted mussel shell. These two lovely works of art are valued at $168.00.  The raffle tickets will be free with a limit of one per customer - to be drawn on Sunday May 18th.

Lunenburg Bike Barn- located in Mahone Bay for the festival

Rent bikes from the Bike Barn and ride out to Indian Point to partake in the activities and explore the local area.

“Mussel Hustle” Kitchen Party

 

Join in the fun of an old-fashioned kitchen party at the Mahone Bay Centre gym, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm on Saturday, May 16th.  Jon Allen has assembled an array of talented local musicians to entertain.  Mussels and rolls will be on sale, as well as dessert and coffee. Garrison draught beer and Grand Pre Wines will be available.  $10.00 admission. Proceeds will go toward completing the painting of the Centre exterior. Musicians include: Midlife Crisis, Paul MacLellan & Nancy Ross Laurie McNeil, Tim Worthington & Stephanie McLeod, John McGee, Sherry & Kevin Dean, John Barr and Art Cole
