Throughout the Festival

·    Scarecrows will be on display September 23 through October 9

·    Scavenger Hunt for children for the duration of the festival.  Find the listed scarecrows as well as “Where’s Waldo”?

·    Scarecrow Photo Contest

·    Tour the Town with friends on the Saltbox Brewery Bike

 

Friday, September 22

·    Scarecrows are popping up all over town!

·    Mahone Bay & District Fire Department BBQ at the Post Office, 11-7.  Grab a hot dog or hamburger and beverage!

·    Indoor Yard Sale 2-6, St. John’s Lutheran Church, 89 Edgewater St.  Please bring a bag.  Items priced to sell.

 

Saturday, September 23

·    Antique Fair 9 -3, $5 admission, Four Points Vintage Market, 513 NS-325, Blockhouse

·    “The Best of Annie’s Attic” Yard Sale Museum Fundraiser, 9-3, One day only.  Free admission, St James Parish Hall, 14 Parish St

New Festival Event!

·    1st Annual Nova Scotia Fruit Pie Baking Contest and Sale

Open to amateur bakers only, of all ages.

Celebrity Judges:         Sachin Seth - Great Canadian Baking Show Finalist, Jennah Barry - Famous Town Pie Shop, Mike Bishop - The Barn Coffee and Social House. 

Prizes:  $100 for each of 5 pie categories, Plus $500 Best in Show!

Location:  Trinity United Church Hall, 101 Edgewater St, Mahone Bay 

Schedule:        9-11 Contest bakers deliver their pies

Noon – Doors open to the public.  Judging starts.

Noon-2 Watch the judging and enjoy an Old-Fashioned Luncheon of Baked Beans and Brown Bread $12, with Kids Mac & Cheese $6 by the cooks of Trinity United Church. 

2 pm – Prizes awarded, and the “Pie by the Slice Sale” begins, $5.

·    Free Scarecrow Children’s Activities 11 – 3 at the Mahone Bay Museum, 578 Main St
